Floor Tiles

Hyde Park Tiles stocks a wide range of Kitchen Floor Tiles in both Porcelain and Ceramic.

What is the best tile to use for a Kitchen Floor?

Ceramic Tiles and Porcelain Tiles can both be used for floors, but Porcelain Tiles are a much harder wearing material making them less likely to break due to impact, providing they're installed correctly. With this in mind, we always recommend a Porcelain Tile for Kitchen Floors.

What is the best size to use for Kitchen Floor Tiles?

Larger Tiles generally make the room visually bigger, this is due to less grout lines allowing you to concentrate visually on the Tile finish. Remember all tiles should be planned out prior to fitting, this will allow you to see where your cuts will fall around the floor area and will give you the option to move your starting point over to avoid a small slither or to have equal cuts for a more balanced look.

What is the best finish for Kitchen Floor Tiles ?

The finish is more of a personal preference, some people feel comfortable having a polished surface under foot while others opt to have more grip for the safety aspect.
